Diabetes Prevention Program

Description

The Virginia Hospital Center provides a year-long program to help individuals who are prediabetic to make small lifestyle changes to decrease the chances of becoming diabetic. Program goals include weight loss, regular physical activity, and effective ways to manage stress. All classes are taught by a certified lifestyle coach.

VHC Health Senior Resource Guide

Description

The Virginia Hospital Center provides information on their programs for seniors, as well as other resources specifically for older persons. Copies are available online and distributed across the VHC campus in kiosks.

Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP)

Description

The Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) provides in-depth, one-on-one insurance counseling to Medicare Beneficiaries, their families, friends and caregivers. Trained and certified VICAP counselors provide free, unbiased and confidential assistance. VICAP serves Arlington County Residents.

This is a free service.
