Description
Northern Virginia Family Service’s (NVFS) breadth, depth, and scope of services offer the resources and support to ensure that everyone in need, at every stage of life, maximizes their potential and fully contributes to a thriving community. We provide the essential building blocks for financial, emotional, and physical well-being. Volunteers are needed on weekdays from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Early Head Start Volunteers care for and engage with babies and toddlers in a classroom setting at the Arlington Mill Community Center or Head Start Center on Glebe Road. Volunteers experience the rewards of bringing delight to a child and watching their developmental growth.
- Head Start Classroom volunteers help teachers with daily activities for 3–5 year olds at our Head Start Center on Glebe Road. Prepare, lead and support learn-through-play activities; read to students; supervise them on the playground, and help serve breakfast and lunch.
